(Montel) Coal inventories at northwestern European import terminals have declined 3% over the past week from four-month highs, despite a persisting influx of vessels, collated port data showed on Tuesday.
Combined inventories at four key terminals in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp (ARA) were assessed last at 6.26m tonnes, down 0.18m tonnes from a week ago, when stocks were at the highest since early September, according to Montel estimates.
The decline likely reflected some upturn in withdrawals from stock, with port sources pointing to a steady flow of seaborne vessel arrivals.
