(Montel) French nuclear power capacity fell by 4.6 GW to 43 GW in the week to Wednesday and was 9 GW below operator EDF's estimates, data from Montel’s Energy Quantified (EQ) showed.
Average reactor availability in the month to date was up 4.6 GW from November’s average to 45.1 GW.
The 17 reactors offline out of a total of 56 represented 28.4% of generating capacity, while nuclear output was last seen covering 61% of domestic power needs.
Available nuclear capacity should rise to 50.5 GW over the next week and average 45.2 GW this month, while it should improve to 55.1 GW in January,…
