(Montel) German day-ahead power prices looked set to slide nearly EUR 40 on Wednesday as forecasts indicated a surge in wind power generation, though the front year jumped EUR 4 on a strong energy complex.
Baseload for Thursday was last seen at EUR 22.50/MWh on the EEX exchange, compared with the settlement of EUR 60.80/MWh for Wednesday delivery.
Average wind power generation could jump from 19.1 GW to 39 GW tomorrow, according to forecasts collated by Montel.
