(Montel) Winter power supply will remain healthy even if there is a lengthy outage of the 2.6bcm/year Balticconnector gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia after it was damaged this week, said TSOs Fingrid and Elering on Wednesday.
“According to current information, the incident does not affect Fingrid’s earlier estimate that the sufficiency of electricity will be good this winter,” said the Finnish TSO in a statement.
TSOs shut down the 2.6bcm/year Balticconnector pipeline between Estonia and Finland on Sunday due to a suspected leakage, which caused Finnish gas prices to surge.
