(Montel) Britain will see improved power supply margins this winter amid high European gas stocks and the ample availability of interconnector flows, operator National Grid ESO said on Thursday.
This winter’s de-rated margin – or the amount of excess supply above peak demand – would be 7.4% or 4.4 GW, which was slightly higher than last year’s 3.7 GW, under the ESO’s central scenario in its winter outlook report.
