(Montel) Italy’s solar capacity rose 4%, or 1.1 GW, year on year in Q1 to reach 26.15 GW of total solar capacity installed in the country, state-owned energy services company GSE said on Friday.
The additional capacity is nearly half the 2.48 GW installed in 2022, it said in its quarterly report on photovoltaics.
Solar energy production in Q1 reached 5.6 TWh, a 4.4% increase compared to the same period in 2022, the report showed.
