(Montel) The Ignitis group subsidiary Ignitis Renewables has bought a 218 MW onshore wind power project in Lithuania from an unnamed developer for EUR 300m, it said on Friday.
The wind farm, in the northwestern district of Plunge, would contribute to the group’s target of 4 GW green capacity by 2030, said Thierry Aelens, CEO of Ignitis Renewables.
“The project is currently at an early development stage, with environmental impact assessment procedures undergoing,” said Ignitis, adding that the farm was expected to launch commercial operations in the second half of this decade.
