(Montel) Google has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with France’s Engie and Portugal’s EDPR utilities for the delivery of 5 TWh of electricity from 2025.
The power would come from Scotland’s Moray West offshore wind farm project, which is due to start in 2025, the companies involved in the PPA said on Thursday.
Moray West is being developed by Ocean Winds, a joint venture owned by EDPR and Engie, dedicated to offshore wind.
Located in the Moray Firth, the project will deliver 882 MW of renewable energy, the companies said.
