(Montel) European carbon prices fell by more than 3% on Monday in nervous trading ahead of a EU parliament vote over the proposed additional EUA sales and amid reduced trading volumes due to a public holiday in Germany.
The benchmark Dec 22 EUA contract last traded down EUR 2.19, or 3.3%, at EUR 64.58/t and hit an intraday low of EUR 64.25/t on Ice Endex.
