(Montel) Wetter weather conditions should boost river levels and hydropower potential in Germany and the surrounding region, while wind production should remain robust during the next four weeks, forecasters said on Friday.
Heavy rainfall expected across central Europe should lift levels along the Rhine river from 100 centimetres to 150cm by next weekend, said UK forecaster MetDesk.
Drought conditions over the past few months have seen levels on the river hit record lows, hampering transport of coal to power plants.
