(Montel) Canada has agreed to supply green hydrogen to Germany with the first deliveries expected in 2025, as Europe’s biggest economy looks for alternatives to gas imports from Russia.
The Hydrogen Alliance between Canada and Germany is a significant milestone as we accelerate the international market rollout of green hydrogen and clear the way for new transatlantic cooperation,” German economy minister Robert Habeck said in a statement late on Tuesday.
Both countries aim to “kickstart the hydrogen economy and to create a transatlantic supply chain for hydrogen well before 2030,” according to the joint agreement.
