(Montel) Norway exported 10.2bcm of natural gas through pipelines to other European destinations in March, a new monthly record, according to fresh figures from Statistics Norway.
Record high prices meant the value of March’s gas exports was NOK 112.4bn (EUR 11.8bn), also a record high.
The value of the country’s oil exports also hit the highest ever level at NOK 51.6bn. It exported 52.7m bbl of petroleum during the month.
The Nordic nation’s power exports saw a similar trend, hitting a record value of NOK 4.2bn last month, up from NOK 558m in March 2021, the figures showed.
The country has stepped up exports as EU nations looked to diversify from Russian supply amid its invasion of Ukraine.
