(Montel) The Nordic Q4 power contract jumped EUR 4.65 on Monday to hit a fresh high of EUR 66.50/MWh on dry weather, strong spot prices and bullish fuel markets.
The contract was last seen at EUR 66.40/MWh, up EUR 4.40. The October contract traded EUR 4.35 higher at EUR 67.25MWh.
“I am very surprised that the prices did not rise more,” said Axel Weyler, a trader at portfolio manager Entelios, pointing to the strong German power price premium.
