(Montel) Gresham House Energy Storage Fund plans to double the capacity of its newly operational 50 MWh battery storage unit in the north of England to 100MWh early next year, it said on Tuesday.
This would extend the duration of the one-hour unit in West Didsbury, Manchester, to two hours, the fund manager added in a statement.
The battery unit was built by UK developer Statera Energy and trading would be optimised by technology specialist Arenko Cleantech, it said.
The fund is targeting 1 GW of operational projects in the UK in the first half of 2024.
