(Montel) The number of requests to connect renewable plants to the Italian electricity network has grown 40% in the past four months, the CEO of TSO Terna said on Sunday.
The increase in requests suggests growing investments in the country’s renewable sector despite administrative hurdles slowing its energy transition. They also come as Italy and other EU member states are trying to wean off Russian fossil fuels in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
