(Montel) PGNiG’s gas sales rose 9% year on year to 20.5bcm in the January-September period, the Polish state-run utility said late on Monday.
The company saw imports increase 5.4% to 10.6bcm over the period, with the bulk of supply – 7.9bcm – coming from Russia’s Gazprom, the utility said in a preliminary report. It also bought 1.96bcm of gas via the Swinoujscie LNG terminal in Poland.
PGNiG sold 5.8bcm of gas on country's TGE bourse in first nine months of 2018, a 1% fall from the same period in 2017.
The firm’s power plants sold 2.66 TWh in January-September, 2% down from a year ago. Its power plants have a capacity of 1.6 GW.
