(Montel) German spot power prices looked set to retreat on Tuesday amid an improvement in wind output and a jump to above-normal solar generation.
Baseload for Wednesday last traded at EUR 115.50/MWh on the EEX exchange, down from EUR 123.30/MWh for Tuesday delivery. It is also EUR 1.50 below Wednesday’s prior close.
Average German wind output should rise by about 2 GW to roughly 14 GW tomorrow, according to Montel’s Energy Quantified (EQ). However, this remains about 4 GW below normal for the time of year.
