(Montel) France has 1 GW of solar and 1-1.4 GW in wind projects that have been given the go-ahead but are no longer profitable to build amid rising costs, sector lobby groups told Montel.
The projects were in limbo while the government decided how to proceed, lobby officials told Montel.
“At a time when we need to speed things up, we are depriving ourselves of around 2 GW of renewable capacity that could be up and running very quickly,” said Jeremy Simon, deputy head of Fance’s SER renewables lobby.
