(Montel) European gas prices fell amid stable supply, healthy storage and forecasts indicating temperatures around the seasonal norm, offsetting concerns around Russian threats to curb all flows via Ukraine.
The front-month contract on the TTF hub – Europe’s most liquid – was last seen down EUR 0.88 at EUR 122.90/MWh, while the equivalent on the UK’s NBP was 4.70p lower at 286.99p/th.
The market was currently very much driven by temperature forecasts, which should keep prices relatively stable until a cold spell arrived, a trader said.
