(Montel) German spot power prices looked set to rise by 36% next week on the expectation of lower wind production and colder weather.
The front-week baseload contract last traded at EUR 289/MWh on the EEX exchange. In comparison, prices this week were on track to average EUR 212/MWh, based on the delivered spot prices and forecasts from Montel’s Energy Quantified (EQ).
Wind power generation looked set to fall 3.6 GW to average 11.5 GW next week, around 7.6 GW below normal.
